My Project

I want to encourage my students to start reading on their own. Our school doesn't have a library or space for library, therefore, I want to build a classroom library where students can choose what book they want to read for independent reading. I believe students should have immediate access to books. I want to enforce off screen entertainment. Reading books that are entertaining will help them with reading comprehension.

My goal is to instill a love for literature within my students to help them become avid readers.

During the school year, each student will choose a book from the classroom library, and read it independently. After they are done reading, we will have a “book club” project where students will create a presentation about their book. This will help students share their ideas and opinions.
