My Students
My students come to school to learn the essentials to become successful adults. They may come from Spanish-speaking homes or English-speaking homes, but each and every one of my students come to school to learn.
Our students strive to do the best they can, by challenging and pushing themselves to do well. My students come from very diverse backgrounds, which makes our classroom the perfect place for debates, discussions, and hands-on activities. Diversity leads to different views on each topic we cover throughout the year.
My Project
My students need a variety of books to read at varying levels, these books will enable my students to have a book to read at their reading comprehension level.
With the right book, a child can become the character in the book, go to many places, and many time periods.
Books such as The River Between Us, Divergent, Woods Runner, and the Boys' War will allow my students to become "lost" in a book.
When students complete the book they have been doing a "book project" and presenting to the class.
