We are working on building paper roller coasters! The students are having so much fun designing what their roller coaster is going to look like.\r\n\r\nThey first created the frames using cardstock paper and then taped it to the base. Then, they built their frame to reach 150-200 centimeters tall! Once their frame was complete, they started putting together their roller coaster track. With loops, funnels, sharp curves, wide turns, jumps and drops, they created exciting roller coasters they are thrilled to share with parents and teachers. \r\n\r\nParents and teachers will be coming to judge these roller coasters based on excitement, reliability and overall construction design. Students are excited to try new things, experiment with the games, and include others in ways I hadn't expected. One group even added a third player with their own board to a match of \"guess who,\" turning it into a creative twist on the classic game. I've also seen students invite classmates outside their usual social circles to join in for games, which has been incredible to watch. \r\n These games are helping students build confidence, communicate more, and step outside their comfort zones in fun, meaningful ways. The sixth grade feels more connected and inclusive, and that's because of your support.
