We have amazing Montessrori students at our school. I have a mixed age group of 4-6 year olds. I have pre-k and kindergarten students together in the same room for a full day.
Our students come from different backgrounds.
I have students who come in already reading and others who are learning to identify letters and sounds. Some need a lot of help at the beginning of the year to manage and learn social skills. I have some who can already identify the numbers 0-10 and will be ready to learn 11-20 and start adding. It does not matter what their backgrounds are, they are all going to achieve great things this year.
We are in need of a new book shelf to hold our growing classroom library. We start a lot of our days by reading books while we wait for everyone to arrive. Our classroom library shelf is currently over flowing. We have a few small red bins that are holding books on the floor.
We are overflowing with books.
We have books in red bins on the windowsills, stacked on the filing cabinets, and then stacked on top of each other. It is difficult to find a book when I need it for a lesson because I constantly have to rearrange them.
