Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I try hard to keep my classroom library as updated as possible. What is wildly popular with students one year becomes eclipsed by the next-to-be-adapted as a Netflix film/series or the hot, new book club pick, and refreshing the novels in my classroom library is an important part of keeping kids engaged in reading.
Research shows that students (and people) who read more, learn more, and I wholly believe in this philosophy.
The books I have included in this list are novels that have been selected for their diverse genres, authors, characters, and settings, and it gives my students a lot of options when it comes time to pick a book for choice reading or book clubs.
