Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are driven and curious young people who are passionate about health, justice, identity, and the fight for a more equitable world. These students participate in a Health and Behavioral Sciences Pathway in which they work to become compassionate future health professionals in their community.

My Project

Students will feel cared for at school knowing that the supplies they need to keep them safe and to help them learn are provided for them.

Graphic novels on diverse topics help students who have not historically been interested in or felt successful with reading to get engaged and find a book they love.

Graphic novels also teach visual literacy and work to support English language learners as they build their vocabularies.

We'll be launching a new independent reading project, so these titles will go a long way to provide students with exciting options!
