Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Reading is fundamental. Coming from someone who struggled to read when I was younger, I want a place in my classroom that is cozy. A place where students WANT to read. I absolutely love reading now and even I would love a cozy little corner like this to take me away in different stories and journeys. I am hoping my students find this spot helpful and encouraging to want to read more.

Please help me give my students a place to go on adventures around the world with an updated reading corner for our classroom library.

Included is a new small carpet for our reading nook, the letter R-E-A-D, new baskets for our bookshelves to store all of our classroom library books, and a beanbag for comfort and a spot that can be used for reward and motivation. I am beyond excited to put this classroom reading nook together for my much deserving students.
