Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten students are a part of a wonderful charter school in Chicago that focuses on personalized learning through building strong relationships, implementing best teaching practices, and using modern technology. My hardworking students are very passionate and eager to learn!

My Project

We are in need of books for our classroom library that are for beginning readers! After having taught first and second grade, there are plenty of books in our library that are geared towards moderate to higher level readers.

However, my classroom library does not have any "just right" books for my students who are growing as readers!

It is extremely important that all students have the opportunity to have a variety of books to read at school and to be able to borrow from our library and take home to practice their reading skills.

With your help, our classroom library will be able to offer great books at a variety of levels for our young readers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
