My students need to have a classroom library and I wish to have a class book that each student has a copy of that book that we read together as a class.

My Students

My students come from a low socioeconomic status. My goal is to provide my students with the materials, the drive, and the opportunities to have a positive learning experience in my classroom. I wish to accomplish this by providing reading materials that the students are interested in by having a classroom library.

I hope to provide my students with opportunities to do fun activities in science, social studies, math, writing, and reading projects to promote their drive for learning.

This, in turn, will help my students want to learn!

My Project

I am a new teacher in this school hoping to build a classroom library for my students. Some of these books are books that kids are interested in reading. These books (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and Frindle) will help entice my students to read other books.

I hope that I can help with this by having a classroom book that each student has a copy of and is reading in the class.

This will help students connect with the book and learn that reading is fun and magical.

Shiloh, is the first classroom set book, that I want my students to read because the book takes place in West Virginia. WV History is taught in 4th grade and Shiloh will help connect history with reading and help students make connections with the story.
