Help me give my students the ability to do some hands-on science experiments after years of online simulations.

My Students

My students are amazing. My students come from many different cultural and economical backgrounds. Over 50% of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunches.

We have a variety of different learning styles to cater to.

Many of our students are English Language Learners and have communication barriers to overcome. We have a high percentage of special needs students that need extra help. Many of our students have difficult challenges that they face every day, but they still have the desire to learn and do their best.

My Project

Help give my students some lab materials to do some hand-on labs in the classroom. With the pandemic, students have been stuck doing online simulations and watching videos of experiments. Many students have become disengaged and forgotten what it like to do science.

Students are more engaged and excited about learning with hand-on activities.

These materials will allow my students to investigate and perform many different experiments. Students will be able to grow their own Algae and design their own experiments to investigate how light affects photosynthesis. They will study genetics by looking at traits of fruit flies and well as understanding blood type. The slinky's will help understand properties of waves. These materials are greatly needed to help student get back what they have missed since the pandemic.
