Flexible seating in the classroom gives students options when they need to wiggle while staying focused on the lesson.
One thing I love about my students is their interest in learning. They're always asking questions, wanting to learn something new. These students come from a low-income area and face numerous challenges in school and at home. Many are still struggling to get back on their feet from Hurricane Florence last year. By providing them with a well-equipped classroom, we’re enriching their education.
I want the best for all my students.
They deserve the best. Similar to the famous line, “It takes a village to raise a child,” it also takes a village to teach a child. I can’t do it alone. With your help, we can give them the education they deserve.
My Project
This project includes a wide variety of items. With flu season here, tissues, Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer are a must to help fight the germs and keep everyone healthy.
I also want my students to have the opportunity to use flexible seating so they can move quietly while staying focused.
The wobble stools and chair bands will allow students to release their energy without distracting others. My hope for the clipboards is that we'll be able to take a few of our lessons outside. Students who prefer to stand during a lesson could also benefit from using a clipboard.
This project will help make my classroom more functional for my students.
