My Project

I am requesting film to cover the windows in my classroom to make students feel safer in the event of a school shooter. If students feel safe they will have less anxiety about being at school. We had a false school shooter threat two years ago and we were all traumatized by the event. We are a one-to-one school with Chromebooks, and sometimes students forget to charge their Chromebooks at home or don't bring their chargers to school. By providing Chromebook chargers to use in my classroom, students won't miss out on being able to participate in class and complete their work. I have been teaching for 28 years, by providing my students with pencils, pens, markers, and tissues, I am showing students that I care about them and their success in my classroom. This helps me to build relationships with my students. My high school is a very special place. It is the most diverse school in Ohio and students come from all kinds of backgrounds and socio-economic situations. They are all accepting of each other. I love my students, my job, and my coworkers. Thank you in advance for assisting me with my classroom needs.
