My Project

My students have the opportunity to earn classroom money for being kind, completing homework, and following classroom rules and expectations. The classroom money they earn can be used to shop our classroom store. We are currently running out of items in our store and need to replenish our stock!

Our classroom store is a great motivator, and helps my students learn financial literacy skills.

The Sqwishland Bulk Box, embroidered iron on patches, cartoon fun pens, and plush animals will make a big difference in my students' learning. How will they make that difference? In order to purchase these items, my students will learn to add, subtract, count money, count change, identify coins, and learn how to manage a simple budget. These items will teach my students real-world experiences that will help them as they become adults.

The books, More Caps for Sale: Another Tale of Mischievous Monkeys and Circus Caps for Sale, will make a difference in my students' learning by building important foundational skills and introduce financial literacy vocabulary. They will also provide a model of fluent, expressive reading, as I read these books to them.
