Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have used a classroom economic system with my first graders for last few years. Each one of my students has a classroom job that they apply, and interview for. They earn a weeklky salary as well as pay rent.

They love earning money and spending their money at Tiny Target!

These supplies will help replace the wallets and money that have been used lovingly in my class over the last 7 years. The wallets will help give them a place to keep their money safe, as well as being able to learn how to keep money organize for the future. The classroom money will help my students learn how to count money and build their financial literacy.
