Our classroom learners have bright futures with your help! Our community is growing and striving, the same growth can be seen inside of our classroom. Even though our school district's demographics show that 53.8% of students are in poverty.
This statistic should never interfere with the education students are provided or their academic ability!

Our classrooms' learners come with their challenges, but when they enter our classroom they have excitement and joy for learning. It's our job as community members to support our students so they may be successful!
My Project
Today's classrooms are so focused on improving student achievement on standardized test scores that we forget the importance of social and emotional learning. Funding does not allow a portion to go to providing a positive learning environment. Sadly, social-emotional learning is not a main focus in our schools.
It is my goal to implement social emotional learning to inspire my students to build positive relationships, strengthen their ability to self-regulate, and promote academic growth.
To achieve this goal, I must create a positive and encouraging classroom environment. The organized and fun decorations will help me promote and implement social-emotional learning in my kindergarten classroom.
