Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'd like to provide healthy snacks, such as high protein breakfast cups and applesauce, for my students to sustain them during work times. We have 90-minute learning blocks and that can be overwhelming for kids transitioning from an unstructured winter break at home to the relative rigidity of school. Many of my students are at school from 7am to 5:30 pm daily and need protein to sustain them beyond the school breakfasts and lunches that are provided by the school. Taking a break to have a snack can motivate them to stretch their stamina a bit longer as well as nourishing their growing bodies.

I am also requesting feminine hygiene products for my girls who deserve to have their health and dignity preserved in school while building healthy habits.
