Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As educators, we constantly juggle many tasks; I initially struggled with creating a greener classroom. So, I collaborated with my students to innovate and incorporate ideas that are better for the planet into our classroom. One of the ideas we came up with was to get eco-friendly cleaning supplies. We are requesting funding for cleaning supplies to take care of our classroom and ensure that it is a healthy environment for learning. We request a vacuum cleaner to keep our floors fresh and clean for all the students. There are a lot of students in and out of the room, lots of foot traffic, and lots of shoes, and I would like the students to be able to help and keep our classroom clean.

Having students help clean and keep our environment tidy will show them responsibility and the importance of keeping a clean space.

The materials requested in this project will improve my student's school experience by ensuring our classroom is always clean. We selected an ECO-friendly cleaning product as we are trying to protect our planet and keep ourselves away from toxic chemicals.
