My Students

I have had to spend time rounding up any calculators I can get for End of Course testing each semester from the surrounding high schools in the district. What a blessing it would be to have them on hand for the students to use for testing and in the classroom.

We are an early college high school that is in its 5th year of existence.

We go off the grant from the Gates Foundation this year, and we just learned that the county has cut our supply budget to the bare minimum, meaning that we don't even have enough to buy copy paper through the end of the year. Most of our students are at or below poverty level and are the first in their family to get any college hours.

My Project

Most of our students can't afford to purchase their own calculators, and the teachers don't have enough to go around to each student. I would like to eventually have about 40 to loan out to students for daily projects and use during the EOCs. Having their own calculators would be a huge plus.

Please consider making this possible for the students.

Calculators are a daily need, and right now there are not enough to go around. I thank you for your time, and again, what a blessing it would be to the students and me.
