I work at a Title I school. Our school is very transient and a lot of our students don't get a chance to remain in our classroom for a full year. We have many students who come from homeless backgrounds, foster care, and abusive situations. My students love to read, read, read! I want to be able to give them the tools that they need in order to foster the love of reading for a lifetime!
Our class is going into an new novel study for Roald Dahl, we are focusing on The Witches and Matilda.
My students are already familiar with his work as we have already read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and are working on performing the play this upcoming April!
My students are in need of a set of class novels in order to conduct a book study on the author Roald Dahl. We've recently completed the reading of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the students LOVED IT! We are going to perform the play in April!
Since I am a first year teacher I don't have a set of class books to continue the exploring of Dahl's writing, so I am asking for your help!
My students love reading novels that are exciting and they are able to remain engaged if something is interesting. We just need a little bit of help!
