My first grade students love stories! The students love it when I read to them. When I introduce a story their eyes light up with excitement! They also love to look at and read books to themselves and their friends. The students ask me daily if they can go to the class library. Each student already has their favorite "seat" or spot on the library. I love watching them settle in and focus on their book when it's "library day!" Our classroom has limited shelving, so the few shelves that we do have are overflowing. I would like to purchase some extra shelves to store more books and classroom materials for my students. They are wonderful little individuals and they deserve a well put together classroom.
My Project
The Chromebook charging station will allow us to both store and keep chromebooks charged for digital reading lessons. The chromebooks will make a difference because I can use websites such as: starfall or ticket to read to individualize a lesson. Each student can work on a struggling reading skill.
All resources requested in this project will help me and my students organize our materials in a better, more convenient way.
We will be able to easily access anything needed, and store materials accordingly. This allows me to teach my students at a young age how to organize their materials and belongings. This will help them with their success in the years to come. It never hurts to be organized.
