My Students

I have 17 unique and diverse students in my First Grade classroom. Every year I am able to watch these students develop into great readers and really succeed in their education, and watching them grow is very rewarding to me! As a teacher in a low-income charter school, I know that my students come to me from all different life situations.

What is so amazing is that with all their differences, they come together and synergize and form a classroom full of love, friendship, and great leaders.

This year, I have been blessed with sweet and caring First Graders who are always doing their best to succeed and become leaders in the classroom. The students are always encouraged to learn and try their best to have a positive attitude especially when they get discouraged. In our classroom, we are learning that success happens when we are trying our best even when we make mistakes.

My Project

The materials I chose for this project are vital for students to use to reinforce and aid in their learning. The expo markers will be used by having students show their work for problems, be used in review, and gives them a different way to show their learning. Markers and crayons will be used to show their creativity and provide a fun way of learning. Lined dry erase boards will help my students with their writing development, these will help my students practice their writing skills by practicing the correct letter placement in a fun and encouraging way for them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
