Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach second grade, and the best part of my job is learning alongside such curious and hardworking students!

My students are a resilient and hardworking bunch, and they are eager to be in school after over a year of distance learning.

Our focus is maintaining strong routines and preparing diligently for the rigors of 3rd grade and beyond!

My Project

It takes a lot of basic supplies to keep our classroom going! Things like hand sanitizer and band-aids keep kids healthy and focused on learning, and see-through shoe bins will help keep us organized. A half class set of glue will help us better do our favorite STEAM projects, which we are managing right now with only 6 glue bottles!

This project will provide us with basic materials that we need to keep our classroom running smoothly.

Without the chance to get these supplies funded through Donors Choose, these are the types of items that would either have to come out of my own pocket or that the kids and I would likely go without given our school's budget constraints. We are so grateful for the opportunity to keep our classroom well-stocked and ready for learning.
