Classroom Basics for New Teacher

Help me give my students and their new teacher classroom basics. We have a brand new teacher who is starting from scratch next fall, and I would like to set her up for success.

My Project

My goal for this project is to set a new teacher up for success by providing her with the materials that she will need to create engaging interactive lessons. Materials such as post-it notes can be used as exit tickets to gauge student learning from a particular lesson. This data helps guide the next day's instruction. The white boards can be used to make review sessions more fun, and they also provide the teacher immediate feedback as to where the students are at in their learning. Colored pencils are useful when we do labs and we draw what we see under the microscope or when we color diagrams to help us understand structure as it relates to function. Other materials can be given to students who do not have their own supplies necessary to be successful.
