Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am requesting materials to prepare for the new year. Students will each get homework folders that are durable and folders to keep their papers organized in their desks. They will get golf size pencils because they are easier for first graders to use at that age. Students will also get clickable pens, crayon boxes, sharpeners, and pencil pouches.
The classroom basics will allow students to start the year off right!
The microfiber cloths and dry erase marker holders will support students as they work in pairs to solve math problems as we become a thinking classroom. The dot stickers will help me organize the classroom library thematically. I will be able to code the books by themes and students will easily recognize the book genre when they see the dot sticker color. The TPT gift cards will support our dual language classroom. I am often looking for grammar and spelling sheets as well as reading fluency passages that will support students in class and for homework. I also want to provide STEM materials in Spanish for my students. This will encourage them to be creative and develop critical thinking skills.
