I am a first grade teacher at Malpass Corner Elementary School in Pender County, N. C. Malpass Corner is a Title I school. My classroom has tile flooring. I am requesting a colorful rectangular rug for my classroom. I would like my reading group to be able to sit on a rug instead of a cold, hard floor. I like all my classroom students to sit on the floor near me when I am teaching the calendar, reading a book to them, or using visual aids to teach an objective from the curriculum. An area rug would be more comfortable for the students and would also enhance the environment. A Calendar Rug Numbers Kit, Set of 35 squares, would be a wonderful teaching tool to use with the rug. I would be so grateful to have a rug in my classroom for the benefit of students. They would be able to sit in their own space and stay better focused to increase learning. Thank you!
