Help me give my students the wonderful feeling of holding a real, hard copy of classic children's literature, so they can go on an adventure every single day in my classroom.

I have a classroom full of students who are eager to learn and succeed in many different ways. They love to put their own twist on things and they express themselves in the most beautiful manner. My students are funny, charismatic, energetic, and willing to put in the work in order to show how far they've grown. This is my first class in the public school system and I couldn't be happier with the humans that I am surrounded by daily.
Most of the children I teach look forward to coming to school every day because it is their escape from reality.
I teach in a small, one hundred-fifty student, public, tuition-free K-8 charter school. The majority of the students are from lower income families and qualify for free lunch, but that doesn't stop their desire to thrive in and out of school.
My goal through DonorsChoose.org is to provide them with materials and supplies that most lower income students don't get to enjoy. Art supplies, technology, and general school supplies are lacking in my school and without your help, my little learners will not be able to flourish like they deserve.
Holding a hard copy of a book is something special. The smell of a book, the way the pages feel on your fingers. My students have been so excited about reading the classics like "Alice in Wonderland" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", but unfortunately, I only have one copy of the book for the entire class.
A child's love for reading is something that needs to be fostered with quality materials and exciting literature.
Class sets of these amazing books will ensure that each student can read/follow along with a book that takes them on an adventure while they're sitting in school.
I have been lucky enough to get a project funded for other class sets of books and I have seen their benefits inside my classroom. My kids desire to read has grown, and I know having class sets of all the novels we read would really be something special.
