My Project

My students absolutely love graphic novels. They are starting to fall in love with reading and graphic novels have opened a whole new world for them in comparison to anything they had before. Classic novels and nonfiction texts are usually well above their reading levels, making it impossible for them to enjoy the stories we grew up with and learn about the world around us.

Graphic novels provide students with opportunities to read and enjoy advanced texts at their own reading level.

Visual supports provide Deaf students with more resources and opportunities to enjoy stories we all love!
