My Students

Do you remember presenting a project to your class and hearing moans and groans from your peers because they couldn't see what you were sharing? Well, with technology advancements, those days are a thing of the past! Teaching students without the use of an ELMO projector is very difficult.

My students will have the opportunity to attend a brand new school this fall.

Our school's goal is high achievement. We plan on integrating Science and Technology into the classroom as much as possible. My 4th graders will be involved in reading challenging non-fiction text, drafting creative writing pieces, and computing difficult mathematical problems. Science concepts will be introduced and reinforced daily. Meaningful activities surrounding Nevada's history will be brought to life with the use of the ELMO.

My Project

ELMO projectors have the ability to zoom an image, create effects such as X-ray or black and white, and take pictures. My classroom comes with a projector, but I need this visual presenter to enhance the student experience. The possibilities are endless with an ELMO projector. Students can share their writing while displaying it for the rest of the class to see. Then, we could use their writing as a model, dissect the paragraphs, highlight great word choice, revise, and show correct editing marks. Students love sharing their original work! Just imagine a student getting to display their artwork, project, or story in a "larger than life" presentation! The active participation will increase and so will the students' level of understanding. Teaching to the whole class will be enhanced by the ELMO. Each student will have the best seat in the house when the image is zoomed or magnified on the entire whiteboard. I won't hear any complaints of "I can't see.

We live in a fast-paced technological world.

Students pay attention when technology is used in the classroom. Using an ELMO projector will bring words and ideas to life for my students. They will be able to model strategies and ideas for the entire class. They will have the opportunity to teach their classmates, practice presentation skills, and value their original work.
