Class of 2023 First-Generation College Bound Wish List

Help me give my students an even better start to their freshman year in college, with essential dorm room starter items and basic necessities needed for first-generation future college graduates, future community leaders, and future world leaders.

My Project

The majority of the students and their families I serve are first-generation college-bound who have the burden of a tremendous financial gap when desiring to attend college in addition to the financial strain of purchasing bedding, soap, washing detergent, and basic essentials. The items in this project will be placed in a basket and gifted to deserving Seniors who are accepted and have committed to enrolling in college after graduating high school. The baskets will assist families and students in feeling supported in their decision to attend college.

Please support my students by providing bedding, hygiene and cleaning supplies for their college dorm to assist them with their transition from high school to college.

My high school will host a school-wide Decision Day (college signing day) in the Spring which Seniors are recognized for their college acceptance and the baskets with the essential items will be raffled. Every student who has committed will be placed in a random drawing to receive either bedding, hygiene products, bathroom toiletries, single-serve coffee maker, and/or laundry essentials.
