Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Each morning and afternoon, my goal is to check in with my students to gauge their emotions as we go about our day.

This rug will give us a place to gather as a class family... to chat and catch up, relax with a good book, or have an up-close encounter with our learning.

The individualized spaces will allow each student to feel comfortable and at ease as we learn and interact. Each student will have their own space to listen and learn as I host class "huddles" in our sports-themed classroom.
