Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is a Title I school in a high-needs neighborhood in Miami, FL. The student body comprises mainly ELL and special education students, making it a vulnerable population.

Thanks to your donation, my middle schoolers can access their Class Hub, a place to showcase their accomplishments and store the equipment for their science activities.

The bookshelves requested will be the spot for supplies needed for their activities and to showcase their projects and student work. In addition, the extra space in the bookshelves will serve as storage space for their textbooks so they don't have to carry them back and forth. A central location with additional basic learning materials, such as markers, pencils, scissors, and pens, to meet their needs will increase their autonomy and ease the classroom flow.

In addition, this will also serve as their hub for the various hygiene supplies and snacks we have in the classroom for students in need. This will ease the process of acquiring these supplies as it will eliminate having to ask for them. The bookshelves will make it readily available for students.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
