Help me give my students supplies for a Circuits Unit in my middle school 6th-8th STEM classes. Students will get to make circuit bouquets and circuit bugs with these supplies.
This year is my first year teaching STEM Enrichment (I have taught at my school for 3 years). Being that it is a new subject being taught here, I am starting from the bottom.
My students are one of the highlights of my day each day and I want more than anything to show them they are intelligent, important, and loved.
A lot of my kids live in rough areas, and many times, school is put on the backburner while they try to cope with what is going on at home.
I have built a strong bond with my students and they deserve a chance in life no matter what background they come from. I'm hoping I can spark their interests in the STEM field by introducing them to a multitude of fun activities and give them a chance to be successful.
My Project
My class is meant to be a project based learning STEM classroom, but with lack of funding, the only supplies I have for my students are those that I buy using my own money. I have tried to do as many projects as possible, but unfortunately, I can no longer afford materials for 100 students every time we do a project.
By donating to these projects, you will be providing an opportunity for my students to complete hands on activities that will increase their knowledge of STEM and ultimately increase their academic achievement.
Please help me to provide supplies so that I can teach my students about STEM through fun, hands on activities. These supplies will help my students to learn all about circuits while creating fun critters and beautiful bouquets.
