This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school in Nevada. The school is able to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. As a teacher, I noticed that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with an exciting, meaningful learning experience.

My kindergarten students are energetic and curious kiddos and are looking forward to a great school year.

Eighty-six percent of my students are second language learners and have never been in school before.

My Project

My students and I have morning routines that complete together. These routines include talking about what we will be doing that day, announcing letter/number of the day, what the weather is like outside, and more. These charts will make these meetings nice and organized. Students will be able to participate in the classroom, or virtually through distance learning.

Circle time is one of the most important times of day for my students.

It helps them warm-up for the day and allows me to prepare them for what they will be learning.
