My Project

I love my students’ curiosity, energy, and eagerness to learn new things every day. They come to class ready to explore, ask questions, and share their thinking, and they thrive when they feel comfortable and connected as a group. Each of my students brings their own strengths, personalities, and learning styles, and I enjoy watching them grow not only academically but also socially as they learn to listen, collaborate, and support one another.

A classroom rug will make a meaningful difference in our learning environment because it will provide a designated, welcoming space for whole-group instruction.

It will help students know exactly where to gather for lessons, read-aloud, and discussions, creating a structure and routine that is especially important for first graders. The rug will also promote engagement by helping students sit comfortably and focus during instruction, while also supporting classroom community-building as we come together each day to learn and share ideas.

With this resource, my students will be able to participate more actively in lessons, feel more organized during transitions, and experience a stronger sense of belonging as a class.
