Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. One hundred percent of our students are on the free lunch program. Our school is a safe haven for many of our students. They face several challenges outside of school, but are eager to learn when they enter their classrooms.

From the moment they enter my classroom, I focus on nurturing and fostering a positive learning experience.

The majority of our students come from single parent households. They have a desire to learn and appreciate interactive learning.

My Project

The students that I teach are on many different levels. I want to help my students by creating resources that will be able to help them individually. I am requesting a Cinch machine that will help me make books that will work for each student's needs.

My students need mini alphabet books, number books and sight word books.

When students have books that are tailored to them, they will be able to learn at the pace that they need. When I can create and bind their own books, they will be able to thrive and achieve on their own level.
