My Students

Our school is small compared to our neighboring communities and this gives us a few challenges, but our amazing students are like so many others: they all love to embrace every opportunity to explore! Kindergarten has a range of learning abilities and so much is expected of them such as: reading, writing full sentences, grammar, comprehension, number sense, Algebraic thinking, geometry, engineering design, and motion/stability (to name a few!) but there’s one thing is for sure, there is no comparing worksheets to real life discovery. Any chance I can offer my little learners the opportunity to be creative by way of “hands-on” only fosters the perfect learning environment!

My Project

Our technology has advanced throughout our school, kindergarten is now working to include ourselves in that advancement!! These six Chromebooks are going to offer us so many opportunities to extend our learning through research, exploring, and creating!

Through guidance, my students will be able to gain the ability to learn how search tools are used, the proper way to handle/use an expensive piece of equipment, the responsible way to use the internet, how to find out about things (animals, earth, foods), etc..

We were the recipient of a Donorschoose.org prize and will use all the available funds towards this project, but it won't cover it all. Won't you help us complete our project?
