My students are the most wonderful 4th graders.

They come in to school excited to learn every day. They make me excited to come to school every day! All of my students receive free and reduced price lunch. The area in which our school is located has a very high crime rate, one of the highest in our city. Despite this, my students come to school excited to learn every day. I've never seen a more excited bunch of students when I showed them some of the technology we will have the opportunity to use throughout the year.

My Project

Technology is great, when we have the access to it. Each classroom is supposed to have 5 computers for classroom use, but they are always being taken back to use for some sort of testing. We need some type of laptop use desperately. Technology can reach students in ways that are unimaginable. I want to make the most of any remediation or extension activities my students do during Independent work or center time.

The chromebooks will not only be that "thing" that engages students during independent and center time, but they will help support what I'm teaching.

I want to give my students any opportunity to grow as learners, and these laptops will help me succeed in doing so.
