Help me give my students access to computers and the vast knowledge they bring. In this day and age, this is one of the most valuable things we could do for them.
My school is located in a neighborhood surrounded by apartments and single family homes. The area can be very transient. Many of the families can't afford a home computer. I teach 3rd grade and some of the kiddos are unaware of what a mouse is.
I have an amazing bunch of kiddos that love computer time and unfortunately the computer lab is only once per week.
My students have bright inquisitive minds, so they are always wanting to learn more!
My Project
Help me give my students a world of wonder, where learning is at the end of their fingertips with a Chromebook. Many of my students are not computer literate. My students love to create stories on the computer, as well, research their favorite animal. My students also love being engaged in educational programs that help promote their learning. Computers to students who don't have their own, is one of the most valuable things we could do for them!
Chromebooks are easy to learn and manager as a 3rd grader.
These computers will build their confidence working with technology. As we all know, technology is the future!
