I am thrilled to see my 23 kindergarten students come to school excited to learn new things and have new experiences. They are eager to learn and share their learning with others. Even though we are limited on Chromebooks, my kindergarten students enjoy using technology in the classroom. It’s amazing how many kids start school not knowing how to use the mouse, Chromebooks, or the Internet. It is exciting to see how much these students have learned about technology and computers in just a few short months. Using Chromebooks in the classroom is a great way to help expand their learning.
At this time, we are very limited with our technology, Chromebooks, and iPads in our classroom. I would like to have 6 Chromebooks, headphone, and wireless mice for my students to use in our classroom. I want my students to be able to access MobyMax, as well as other educational software programs on a daily basis. I want my students to grow as learners and close the gaps, if they are struggling. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will allow me to teach small group lessons using different programs and technology-based learning. My students love using technology at home and I would love to bring that enjoyment into our classroom. It is a necessary resource that will allow me to further their knowledge. They will be able to move on to first grade with the knowledge of how to use the Chromebooks. Let's help these kindergarten students become connected with technology.
