The ability to serve an extensive range of needs can become quite a challenge for Reading and Language Arts teachers. The lower level, SPED, 504 and ELL students in classrooms are always in need of direct assistance and direct feedback. This can become quite difficult for a teacher to accomplish in a classroom of thirty plus students.
My goal is to provide my students with other resources to assist them in completing their tasks and to help provide them opportunities to take the lead with their learning.
The Chromebooks are needed to help provide students with the opportunity to further their education as well as provide technology to students in our area who were greatly impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Because of Hurricane Harvey, students in our community had to endure the hardship of losing their homes and belongings, and many of our students were and still are displaced.
With the Chromebooks, students will be able to conduct research, collaborate with their peers, and complete various projects. Students will also be able to participate in Kahoot, Quizizz, and Google Classroom.
Providing Chromebooks will help those students and others to succeed in the classroom.
