This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom has a diverse group of children. They are a fun group that love to interact with each other, and are quick to help their peers, especially when it comes to technology.

I work with 20 students, at a low-income elementary school in Las Vegas.

I have wide range of learners, though tending to the low end of the spectrum, with great personalities. Our class is made up of students from different cultural, and different socio-economic backgrounds, and each student learns in different ways.

My Project

My students need Chromebooks to help them do small group math projects, and work individually in the classroom, allowing for more focused learning.

As a teacher, I want the students to feel successful and feel confident that they will be able to grow in their education without teacher involvement.

By providing these Chromebooks, it gives the students the resources they need to learn how to be more independent and learn on their own.

With the limited resources provided to the teachers from the school, there is only one computer available per 20 students. This project will allow a larger ratio of students to access the required math lesson of the day, and individualize the education for each student.
