My students love school and love learning! They are curious and love independent and collaborative projects. There are 31 students in our classroom. Students that learn new concepts easily and quickly, students that need a little guidance and then they are good to go, and students that need more specialized attention.
Because of COVID and online learning, students are used to doing things online and have grown accustomed to learning using a computer.
In our 21st century school, we have 16 Chromebooks in our classroom. We are very happy to have these computers, but it can become a challenge with 31 students. We would love to have 3 extra Chromebooks to bring us closer to our goal of a complete classroom set of computers!
My Project
I would love to have more computers in my classroom for students to be able to work on independent and group research projects. It would be especially great for my students that are looking for learning extension opportunities.
Because of COVID-19, shutdowns, and remote learning, I am finding that many of my students have learning gaps.
These gaps especially appear in math. The i-Ready program tailors lessons to meet students where they are in their learning and helps fill in those gaps. I love using this program for my students while I am meeting with small groups or when students have finished other assignments early and could use their extra time to further their math skills.
