My Students

Our school is a Title I school in Las Vegas, Nevada. The school is able to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. As a new teacher, I noticed that my students were faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with a meaningful learning experience.

Thirty percent of my students are reading and writing below grade level.

I am hoping to encourage and motivate my students to embrace their learning experience.

My Project

I am requesting two Chromebooks for my students to use in the classroom. My goal is to have 1:1 technology in the classroom. Technology is so important in today's world. I believe teaching them how to use technology early in their academic career will produce college and workforce ready citizens.

The Chromebooks will help my students to become better readers by completing their Lexia units and taking quizzes on books they have read for our Accelerated Reader program.

My students need many opportunities to practice their daily lessons on Lexia and quiz in Accelerated Reader with their Chromebooks. The Chromebooks will help my students not get frustrated, when their current technology is not working. Your donation will be greatly appreciated and help my students to further their academic learning.
