My Students

My students walk into the classroom each morning ready to learn and to do their personal best. Being in a combo class can be tough for a lot of students, but my students work as a team and keep a positive attitude no matter what. They have a passion for learning and I do my best to provide them with multiple projects and activities that will make their learning experience more meaningful and fun. It has been so exciting to see them help one another and work collaboratively and creatively in a group. My students absolutely love working on chromebooks for group projects or research reports, but unfortunately they do not have full access to use the technology at our school since we share a chromebook cart with 2 other classes. My students would absolutely love the chance to work with technology more often especially during their independent time while I am teaching the other grade level. My students would be thrilled to know that someone cares about their education and wants them to reach their full potential.

My Project

Right now, I have 3 classroom computers for 30 students, half of the students being in a different grade level. My students' have a lot of independent time since I have to flip flop my instruction with the two grade levels. It would be beneficial for my students to be able to use Chromebooks during this time to help them become more creative and excited when working on classroom projects. We share a Chromebook cart with two other classes, but it is difficult for my students to use them on a regular basis since the other classes use them just as much as our class does. It would be easier to have the students work independently on exciting online projects if they had just a few extra Chromebooks in the classroom that they could use at any time. These Chromebooks would really help them become more engaged and excited to learn.
