Chromebooks for Intervention and Enrichment

My students need access to Chromebooks to help solidify basic skills in reading and math, as well as to gain access to opportunities for enrichment and challenge within the classroom.

My Students

A wide variety of students work and learn in my classroom, some needing intervention and others enrichment. Many students at our school value the engagement and variety that technology provides. The academic programs that we use allow students to progress at their own pace and work independently, which allows me to work with other students at their individual levels.

Technology helps my students get the differentiated learning they need.

My classes are set up to assist students with their specific learning needs so they can make progress whether they are below, at, or above grade-level. All of our students benefit from the diversity that makes up our classroom.

My Project

Access to technology allows me to design lessons with choice and variety. With access to Chromebooks in class, students can choose how they want to practice their literacy or math skills - paper/pencil or computer? When students have choices, they are more likely to engage in the learning.

My students' eyes light up when they have the opportunity to use technology.

Part of this excitement is because many of my students don't have computers at home. Also, for students who struggle in reading and math, learning though technology provides access to the content in a different way.
