Chromebooks For Enrichment

My students need 3 Chromebooks so they can have access to educational enrichment opportunities throughout the day.

My Students

Students today should have access to technology in the classroom, but my classroom is bursting at the seams with 33 students. More students per class equals less computer time per student.

My students commonly reside in homes with little or no technology.

For many of them, school is the only opportunity they have to use the internet for research or develop their skills using enrichment programs. Sixty eight percent of my students qualify for free or reduced lunches. Despite the high poverty rate, our school boasts a dynamic learning environment. We have the distinguished honor of being a National Blue Ribbon School due in part to the dedication of our excellent teachers.

My Project

My students will use these Chromebooks daily to participate in our highly successful school wide math enrichment program. Each trimester they will use the Chromebooks to complete an in-depth Ancient Civilization research project. They will also use them regularly to take Accelerated Reader quizzes.

Fulfillment of this project will have a significant influence on my students in every aspect of their learning, particularly history, math, and reading.

The addition of this simple technology will enrich my students' learning every day.
