My Students

I have nine very capable and motivated students who chose this class because they are excited about technology. This "Technology Squad" services a school population of over 2,400 students. They go to classrooms to help teachers and students using laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks.

This is an amazing opportunity for them as they learn real world hands-on computing and troubleshooting skills.

While my class only has nine students, this project will reach hundreds of students as my students use what they have learned to help others.

My Project

I teach a technology class of nine students. These students are learning the skills they need to go into classrooms to support teachers who are using technology in their classrooms. My students need to have hands-on experience with various devices so they can assist any teacher needing help.

My students need to learn to use Chromebooks so they can support other students and teachers as our school increases its use of Chromebooks in the classroom.

This project will allow me to use Google Classroom to assign work to my students so they can learn to use the various Google applications in a class setting. This will give them the experience they need to assist teachers wanting to incorporate the Google Suite in their classrooms. Three more Chromebooks will give our class a total of nine which will allow each student to work on his or her own device. This will help maximize our time and increase learning.
