My Students
I serve a unique mix of children in a third-grade classroom in the Ozarks. I love them, everyone! However, over the past few years, I have noticed a change in the number of students with sensory needs growing at a progressive rate.
Serving a significant number of students with a low socio-economic status proves so rewarding when you are able to provide them with experiences and opportunities that otherwise they may never know.
I love to see the moments of sheer happiness on their faces.
My Project
I am asking for three Chromebooks with the Google Chrome Management software so that I can teach my students about digital art in the classroom. Many of my students don't realize that you can create art on a computer. Many careers that the students may encounter as adults may require them to create artwork on the computer for various reasons. Areas like networking, marketing, advertising, photography, engineering, graphic design, and many others will require the use of art and technology. There are also many programs that we will be able to use on our computers to create different works of art in the classroom.
More than half of students from low‑income households
