My Students

My school is located in a diverse community in Oregon. There are over 25 languages spoken at my school. We have a large population of students who are English language learners. Our school is labeled as Title 1. Our kids come to school with very different experiences. Many do not have resources at home to assist with their learning.

My students are hard-working and love to learn.

They come to school every day with great attitudes, ready to take on new challenges.

My Project

I am requesting a Lenovo Chromebook laptop computer for my class of third graders. Currently, we share a set of Chromebooks between five classes. Because we share with over one hundred students, the students in my class are not able to able to use them on a regular basis.

A Chromebook will help me differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each of my students.

I will be able to use online programs that deliver instruction to each individual for reading and math that is specific to what they need.

This Chromebook will also help my students gain experience with technology. Technology is an important part of education and as student get older they need to be proficient in using many types of technology.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
