Chromebooks for Creativity and Research

Help me give my students the ability to work on individual skills independently while I directly instruct the other grade level. A Chromebook, in connection with Google Classroom, will allow students the freedom to discover their own answers.

My Students

My class is a combination of 4th and 5th grade students. Each grade-level curriculum needs to be altered to meet individual needs and interests. They are independent learning who are focused, driven kids. All of them strive to do their best and are constantly in motion. Roughly half my students have looped with me for two years.

Our class motto is "Prepare for Possibilities".

All class members (including myself) take this to heart. Each student in my class is gifted; some just open their gift later.

My Project

Students will use the Chromebooks to complete individual research and focused learning on Common Core Standards they need continued help in mastering.

Funding this project will give 100% of my 4th graders full-time access to continue to learn computer programming.

In the next month, all my students are going to be gaining access to Makey Makey kits. These kits will allow students to take everyday objects, combined them with the Internet and turn them into touchpads. This will explode the enthusiasm and creativity within our classroom.

It is also a fantastic way for my 5th grade students to have full-time access to a Internet-based programming, research, and activities.
